Red, White and Blue

Here is a sampling of our weekend! Sorry I didn't post this yesterday but I spent the gorgeous day lounging on the deck finishing up The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. (So good!)

The girls were beyond excited to begin our holiday weekend with a backyard camp-out on the *almost* finished deck.

S'mores were a must...

...and sparklers at night!!

Red, White and Blue Babies...

and precarious climbing...

that ended with boo-boos. :(

Parades

... and lots of dirty hands, knees and feet.

But FUN! Always fun!

That exhaustive kind of fun when you slip between cool sheets at the end of a long, hot day; freshly showered with a touch of sunburn across your cheeks and you smile as you drift to sleep...knowing it was another GREAT summer day!
